Soul Ridge Farm is an Equine breeding, boarding and training facility located on Salt Spring Island, B.C. The facility is on approximately 3.5 acres with 8 individually white board fenced paddocks for group or individual turnout. The main lower barn has 2 12' X 16' foaling stalls, six 12' X 12' stalls, and three 10' X 12' stalls for the younger or smaller horses. All of the stalls in the lower barn have drop down windows into the interior aisle as well as full dutch-door style windows that can be opened to the outside as well. The upper barn was originally designed as a stallion barn with full walls between the stalls, and smaller drop down windows to the interior isle only. These stalls are a roomy 11' X 11'. For our boarders, in the upper barn we have a heated tackroom with a full sink, microwave, and refridgerator. There is also a washroom available. We do not have an actual "wash rack" but there is hot and cold water available for bathing horses.
Soul Ridge Farm has a full 20m X 40m covered all-weather riding ring complete with a set of jumps, as well as an adjacent, larger outdoor, seasonal riding arena. Horses and riders from all disciplines are welcome for training, board, or lessons. Our emphasis is on having a socially peaceful, enjoyable place to come and ride/ spend time with your horse. Some of our boarders, as well as ourselves, do compete in horse shows, but we try to save that for the show and aim to provide a more fun, relaxed environment where horse-human relationships are paramount and everyone can learn and feel comfortable and safe. We offer full board care, full training including dressage, hunter, and jumper training, and also a sensitive, effective horse starting program |
